Pref Dress

Hey Ladies,
I am the Pref Day Head for fall formal rush this year at FSU and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas, especially concerning clothing for that day. We always have worn black floor length dresses but some girls want to wear white. Does anyone else ever use white instead of black?
Thanks so much!

I know for us this semester we are doing something a little different. We always wore black dresses as well. I know that the other 2 sororities on our campus wear white. This fall though we are all going to be able to choose a dress color, it must be solid, and it has to represent our personality. We are to wrap a small box with a pearl in it to match our dress, and present it to the girl we pref. I think it will stand out, I know we're all pretty excited about it.

That's a really cute idea, I love it!

White could look really elegant if it's done right. It might be hard for women to find pretty, sophisticated white cocktail dresses appropriate for pref, ones that look flattering on everyone, especially. You might have to set some standards in terms of the type of look you're going for...a lot of white dresses are either spring/summer dresses or formal dresses, whereas you might be looking for something in between.

Now that chocolate brown is a "hot" colour, how about wearing it? Finally, FINALLY brown is fashionable! And so cute with pink!

The chapter that I advise for wears white, they use David’s bridal white tea length skirt and then you choose the white top that looks best on you. Then they all wear a pink sash. It looks really good because the dresses all fit correctly. The skirt is A-line, which also looks good on everyone.

I really like that idea.

That's a great idea, too. I advise all our Panhellenic chapters and one always wears white for preference, so maybe I'll toss out that hint.

And our Gamma Phi new members usually wear white for Presents, so I'll have to share that as well. :-)
