I am looking at doing a get-together with our very own CT4 as our guest speaker. She will be discussing her book and also have copies for purchase.

Tentativly, I am looking at April 21st with a possible venue being Brixx on Fairview.

Would any of you Metrolinians be interested??

i'm not an official charlottean (yet) but count me in! I plan to be permanently relocated to the area by May.

Alright, I have a request for a different date...how does the 28th of April look to everyone?

I can tentatively say yes. I'm closing on my house on April 13 and will be moving somewhere in those next few weeks. As long as it isn't that day and we don't have a desperate need to go to a furniture store, I'll be there.

Since this is a Charlotte thread, does anyone have any opinions on local furniture stores? I'm probably going to Pineville because it's close, but I'm totally new to the whole area and know no one. So if any of you have any advice, I'd love it! Feel free to PM me, I don't want to hijack! :)

I am interested, but my schedule is up in the air. I will do my best to make it, but don't include me in the plans. I'm buying a house, moving, etc, and my husband is doing a ton of working, so I have to be flexible with his schedule. I really hope I can make it though!

Due to things that have come up, I don't think that this is going to work right now. We'll possibly try again in June.

That would be better for me anyway. I just moved into my house in Waxhaw a week ago (yay!), but I'm so overwhelmed that there's no way I can leave the house unless it's to go to Target or Home Depot!

Thank you for understanding. I posted about it in the AKA forum -- my grandmother has to have a biopsy on Monday which I found out about this morning.

We'll do something fabulous in June!
