Moving Up and Over and Out
 

Hubby and I have decided to move up "north". Probably this summer.

If you aren't familiar with Atlanta, I'll try to explain. ;)

1. Atlanta has I-285 which is a 62 mile loop so think of a clock, lol.

2. Right now I live about 15-20 minutes south of 7 p.m

3. My job is almost on 3:00 p.m.

4. We want to move about 10-15 minutes above 1:00 p.m although, in truth, it's probably more like 30 or more with traffic, lol.

5. GTau is about 45 minutes west of 9:00 p.m (almost in Alabama) Right now, it takes me about 1.5 hours to get there from work and 45 minutes from my house.

Unfortunately, this means that I have to give up being CA. I know that GTau is about to go through some exciting times with the possibility of a new house and new football stadium (no official word on either...the univ. is still working on funding for both).

I'm trying to get a replacement in time for her to go to PA in June.

If I can't, we'll figure things out. I've already told the MD adviser that she's in charge when it gets to a point that I can't come, lol.

We went looking at new houses this weekend and I'm excited about a new house..not the actually cleaning and packing, lol. I feel like I'm moving back to civilization cause there's more malls and stuff up there.

Gosh, I'll actually get to spend time with hubby and have 1st Sundays free. ;)

I'm sure that your chapter will miss you, Lynn!

One of my Chi sisters lives in the Atlanta area, but I'm not certain where on the clock she's located. ;) She has been involved as an alumnae advisor in the past, but I'm not sure which chapter. She attended law school at University of Georgia, so it might have been Gamma Alpha?? To be honest, I'm not certain whether she's actively involved with any of the Atlanta alumnae chapters - she was an officer in the Michigan State alumni group for awhile, so that may have sucked up a lot of her time. (The MSU Atlanta alumni group is one of the most active groups from our college in the country.)

If you happen to bump into Kristi from Chi at any alumnae events (of course, I'm sure since you have to give up your Chapter Advisor role, you'll end up running an alumnae group...have to find something to do with the "spare time" ;) :D ), tell her I said hello. :)
