Kansas City GC Gathering
 

Hey all,

I'm going to be in Kansas City from April 13-15.

The conference I'm scheduled to attend is near the airport and has a pretty full schedule (up to 9pm every night :rolleyes: ). I might *possibly* be able to ditch "dinner and conversation" on Saturday evening; but, I would definitely be free after 12pm on Sunday the 15th.

I'm not gonna be able to make it. I'm in the middle of my student teaching semester and am all the way on the other side of the state of SD. Y'all have fun.

I thought you where in the Air Force. Did you do the blue to green program?

I was in the AF and I did the blue to green program....transferred in November...Blue to green is super easy...and I don't regret it at all

I aint pretty but it was fun!

Hey y'all, sorry for the delay here but I had to settle back in to SD. Winnieb, Tom and I went for lunch at the Country Club Plaza shopping center in Kansas City. We picked the Jack Stack restaurant so that I could taste some real KC BBQ! :) It was pretty good I must say!

After chatting for a bit after lunch, Tom left to visit his Lambda Chi Alpha brothers at the university down the street. Wendi and I then took a casual stroll around the Plaza - a historic shopping center which is fashioned a bit after the architecture found in Seville, Spain. We stopped into a couple of shops and I bought some souvineers for my family. Our last stop was a quick look around Tiffanys - though, I did not buy anything. :( After that, Wendi kindly dropped me off at the airport so that I could catch my flight home.

I just wanted to say thank you to Tom and Wendi for being such gracious hosts. I really appreciate you two taking an afternoon out to visit with me!
