House Help...
Well, I thought I would ask a favor of you wonderful people.
I've been undergoing a little research of my own to put together a website with pictures of all the Sigma Nu houses I can find: http://swhitehorse.phenominet.com/sigmanu/ It is really cruising along nicely; but on some I am running into roadblocks. I know some may not even have a house, which is fine. However, if any of you lovely people are at a campus listed that I do not have a pic of, AND you know how I can get a pic of said house - it would be GREATLY appreciated!!! :) thank you for your time. |
I noticed you have Austin Peay State University listed. Their chapter closed in the early 1990's (but I guess you know that) after the house was torn down. The university owned all of the fraternity houses, when their leases expired the houses were torn down or burned in the case of one fraternity. Each fraternity was able to purchase a new house, with the exception of Sigma Nu. The brothers that were left rented several apartments together. Ironically, the university now owns and leases houses to the sororities.

I bet they think the sororities are less of a liability.

Here is a link to the Maryland Chapter's website-
http://www.studentorg.umd.edu/sn/ maybe you could get a pic of the house from them. |

How the heck do they have a site without a single email address listed.... *sigh* |

I do know that their house is not on campus or owned by the university, as all of the houses on the row and the sorority houses on the "Graham Cracker" are- the houses that are university owned have pictures somewhere on the University website- but I don't think Sigma Nu would. |

I think it has more to do with a change in administration and the fact that they needed our suites for office space. |
