What to do about this?
 

I dont know what to do about a wedding I am suppose to be in? I dont know how to tell the bride I cant be in the wedding. How can I tell her this without her being upset at me? I dont want to lose a friend over this.

You could say something like this, "I would really like to participate in your wedding as a bridesmaid, but I have to now decline. There is a lot going on in my life not only personally and professionally but also financially. I really hope that you understand and that this doesn't damage our friendship."

I think that is a great way to handle it. If you are close enough friends for her to ask you to be in her wedding, then you should be able to share your concerns about time, money, etc needed to particpate at the level you should. She should understand or be willing make to concessions if she really wants you to participate.
