How do I find a roommate?!

My current roommate (who was my big sis in ADPi) is going to move in with her boyfriend when our lease is up in June. It seems like nobody I know is looking for a new roommate, and I can't afford to live on my own. What should I do? Any suggestions on roommate sites or something?

This sucks.. especially because I have a dog, which makes it 100x harder to find a place.

Craigslist.org? I know a couple of people who have found roommates that way.

How about checking with other Greeks?

See if your school has a roommate matching service where you can post your request for a roommate, and browse listings of other students who are also looking.

I found a really great roommate through Craigslist. I know other people who have also done well there.

For my post-college apartments and roommates, I used Craigslist. For my college apartments and roommates, I used the DailyJolt. When my friend Erica needed someone to sublet her apartment, she posted flyers on campus and asked all her friends to ask around for her. She ended up subletting to a friend of a friend. I've also seen people send mass messages through facebook about subletting, but that can be obnoxious.

When I have friends that need someone to sublet, they usually just tell all their friends, put it on their AIM profile, etc etc. I know we have one "need a roommate" message board on campus also, but I've heard it doesn't work really well. Word of mouth works the best in my experience.

try roommates.com or rent.com

I had wonderful luck with roommates.com in finding roommates in both DC and CA. It worked out really well and I still keep in touch with all of my old roomies, even though I no longer live in those states!!!
