DDD at NCSU

As I'm sure some of you already know (b/c it has been mentioned elsewhere on GC) but Tri Delta will be colonizing at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC in Fall 2007. All alums here in the Triangle are really excited!! I just wanted to share this info with all Tri Deltas here on GC. As things get up and going with our new colony in the fall I'll be sure to post and let you all know how things are going! :)

I was wondering when we were going to colonize at State. I was part of the founding class at Elon in 2004, and there were talks about colonization at State back then. I'm really stoked, because I'm originally from the Triangle area and my cousin goes to State. I'm hoping that she takes advantage of this opportunity like I have at Elon :)

The Triangle Alumnae chapter is extremely excited as well. It seems like Tri Delta has wanted a chapter at NCSU for quite some time! In Fall 2007 we will finally have Epsilon Eta!!!!! :D There is going to be a meeting at the end of the month to start nailing down details and getting advisors in place, etc. I'll keep everyone updated as more info becomes available.

I'm excited about this myself. I`m a NCSU student, and though I didn't rush this past year for any sorority, I`m planning on rushing this upcoming year, and I think it would be great to join a sorority that was just founded on campus. Then you could say, "I was there when it was started."

Juptier TC, I've met a couple of your fellow founding sisters thru thr Triangle AC and they are awesome!!! :)

And an update for everyone: tonight is one of our 2 informational nights. Our official recruitment begins Oct. 1st.

Jimmy Choo - sorry to crash the board, but please keep us updated as recruitment starts for the colony! I was a colonizing DG at NCSU, so I have a soft spot in my heart for the other groups colonizing! We have been waiting for Tri-Delta for a long time. :)

No need to apologize! We are also very excited to be there and the Triangle alums have been waiting a long time too. BTW, the Greek Advisor for NCSU is amazing!! (I'm assuming John was there when you were there as well?)

Bid day is Saturday so I will be sure to post then how many ladies we take. We had a great turnout for our first open house event tonight! :)

WhiteDaisy128 10-02-2007 07:25 PM

Things must be getting exciting! I can't wait to hear how it goes!

WhiteDaisy128 10-08-2007 06:34 PM

I was poking around on Facebook and found pictures of the NCSU colony! If the caption is right, you ladies have 123 new sisters!!! That is more sisters than most (if not all) of the chapters currently on campus. That's awesome! Here are some pictures I found:

Just wanted to let everyone know that initiation for Epsilon Eta is this Friday!!! It feel like just yesterday I was helping at recruitment! They will become official on Saturday nite at the installation banquet. I am so excited!!

DolphinChicaDDD 01-14-2008 08:39 PM

Enjoy the installation and the banquet! I still remember ours, it was great. And I still remember the feeling of initiation the first time too, done by all our national officers and sisters from Adelphi and Villanova helping us...I don't think its something I could ever forget.

TriDPrincess 01-17-2008 01:34 AM

Yay for all our new (soon-to-be) sisters!!! I'm so excited and can't wait till (hopefully) I can be there to help a new chapter

Jimmy Choo 01-20-2008 01:21 PM

This weekend was just more than words can express! All told, we finished with 94 amazing founding sisters! It was wonderful to watch. I am still pretty speechless and overwhelmed by the whole thing and just so humbled to have played such a small part! :)

CONGRATS EPSILON ETA!!!! All the hard work has paid off!! :D
