Mac question regarding DVDs

I have a Macbook pro. I'd like to transfer one DVD onto another for a friend. How do I do that? I assume I must upload the first DVD onto some sort of program? Does it go onto I-Movie? If so, how do I do that? Then somehow I download it again on a clean DVD?

Can anyone give me a quick course in DVD's for Dummies?

Thanks.

There are various applications available for that. Can't think of any off the top of my head, sorry. You could download them from a file sharing network, see if a trial version is available from the manufacturer's website, or go to Best Buy. Hope that at least points you in the right direction.

You want to download the movie than go into iDVD and burn it. It's really no differet than burning a CD.

I've never even burned a CD yet! :)
I don't even know how to download the movie.

Well, if you don't know how to burn a cd I don't think I can explain to you how to burn a dvd. How about this -

1. Open your iDVD program
2. When it loads, go to the toolbar and select help -
3. Look up how to burn DVD's

I have this program called Drive In that I got from the web-it's in beta right now which means it's FREE and I think to date I have stored about 6 movies on my MacBook Pro. I have not tried to burn them yet to a DVD disc, but I think that you can. I got it from www.Flip4Mac.com.

Good luck!
