Anchor Trader: Setting the record straight
 

Hi Ladies

Let's not let the rumor mill run wild. Obviously a lot of mis information out there. Here's the REAL story:

We are moving to a different scenario and outsourcing Anchor Trader for many reasons—all good reasons for our membership, the Fraternity and Anchor Trader. The new venues will be amazing and in the long run, we will see greater numbers of items as well as royalties for the Fraternity.


And FYI just so you know, the profits from Anchor Trader last year finished off two Foundation endowed scholarships and was the healthiest it could be. This is a business decision, not one for lack of anything from Anchor Trader.

Do you know if www.anchortrader.com is going to continue to list links to the other places where DG merchandise can be purchased? It's so much easier to remember one URL than ten! :)

Thanks for the info!! It's definitely good to know. The rumor going around my chapter is that Anchor Trader is "going out of business" which made no sense to us because we used it all the time. But I will happily set the record straight! Can you tell me what it will mean to sisters to have Anchor Trader outsourced? I'm excited to see new products though, and hopefully some old ones will come back (pink DG teacups! I only had time/money to collect two!).

I'm assuming (and I don't know for sure) this means that another business entity outside of EO will manage the business. Hopefully you won't notice a difference in outsourced versus in-house run operation. I'm sure it will all be shared once it is finalized.
