Valentine's Day

OK, so I am thinking of having our chapter bake a ton of cookies and delivering them to each of the sororities with a single red rose and a cheesy saying, lol. Does anyone else have a great Valentine's Day suggestion for a fraternity that is rather short on funds right now.

Serenade 'em.

Our Pike chapter left Valentine's "cards" made out of plywood in all of our yards. They had a Dalmation kissing the sororities mascot. They were cute.

Yeah, I was thinking about that, but I dont think we can afford replacing all the broken windows from our horrible singing. lol. Singing is out for us, we suck. :D I think if we just bring a bunch of chalkboards and drag our fingernails across them it would sound better.

I think the cookie idea is cute. Make sure you leave them a valentine card, too.

Everyone likes cookies. :) Some girls might be too health-conscious to eat them, but it's still a nice, cute gesture.

That's pretty sad, if they won't eat even one cookie made for them. That's like people who go to weddings and won't eat a piece of cake, which is just rude (and unlucky!) if you ask me.

We had specific songs for each of the sorority's on our campus.
We'd go to each house, in suit and tie of course, and sing a song for them. Then we'd have each of our pledges give a single red rose to each of their pledges.

Worked like a charm ;)

"Were" popular. Sadly the chapter is gone (Sigma Nu, University of Tulsa) for stupid stupid reasons....

I think that is so sweet! Nothing says gentlemen like showing your love and respect for the fairer sex!

An in-person serenade would have more impact than just a drop-off. Why not bake the cookies, and then arrange to attend the sororities. Read a funny and sweet poem, and present the cookies to the chapter and the red rose to the chapter president. It will give your men face time with the ladies, and possibly lead to future events together than a "drop the cookies and run."
