disaffiliate?
I just wanted to know if any local organization out there has chosen to dissaffiliate with their school because of any incidents or conflicts?
|
Luckaly we haven't! But there are plenty of people around who are looking for ANY excuse to make us leave! (Us menaing Greeks in general!)

Hey sarah. . .my sorority has been dissafilliated with my school for over 6 years now. We are still respected by all greeks on campus and continue to be the oldest and largest sorority! Other organizations have also taken our route and tell us it is the best decision they've made. Trust me you can still have a prosporous organization no matter what the school may tell you.

what I meant to write is we are the oldest and largest sorority on my campus, sorry If I confused you. if you don't mind I'd rater not write the name of my sorority on the board, because I want to keep all my posts anonymus (spelled that wrong!)

on my campus if your organization choses to disafilliate with the college you're no longer an organization. you are not allowed to recruit new members, and if found to be recruiting new members you face judicial charges (you and the PNM) and you can be suspended or kicked out of the school period.
so how do you operate?!? |
Unless you are attending a school that does not accept any federal funding, they cannot do that. Off campus organizations are allowed to recruit new members, and you are free to join any off-campus organization you want, and the school cannot punish you for doing so. (This doesn't apply in cases where it org is off-campus because of judicial sanctions, though)
