Brandy sued for $50 Million.

Dayum, Brandy. I guess you'll be "Sitting Up In Your Room" for awhile.

I know that was a bad joke. But I couldn't help myself. :D

LOL :o ...Bad joke, but somehow a few laughs slipped out from me too. ;) :)

TDIAL

I chuckled too. After I read that joke, one popped into my head. It is in poor taste, since someone lost their life. I quickly had to pick up Our Daily Bread. :p :o

The dancers working on Beyonce's latest videos are being low-balled on their salaries in order to make the videos on the cheap. Sources are saying that the music diva is shooting several music videos in L.A. this week, which we're told she is financing, not her label.

Sources also say Beyonce's choreographer, Frank Gatson, has refused to work with any of the dancers' agents on this job. We're told that by eliminating the middleman and dealing directly with the dancers, Beyonce can pay them below standard wages.

Industry contacts say this practice is highly irregular for an artist of Beyonce's stature, and it undermines the dance industry as a whole. Insiders are saying that in order to maintain good working relationships, the production company for the project , RSA Films, has recently agreed to pay agency fees for some of the dancers. Usually, a dancer cast in an A-list artist's video can earn around $3000 for two rehearsal days and two shoot-days of work. Without agents fighting for their rights, the dancers on Beyonce's latest videos will earn less.

While some dancers have boycotted the high-profile gig, others, willing to go around their agents, have been flown to L.A. and put up at hotels to work for the lower rates -- just to say they danced for a megastar like Beyonce. Since music videos are not covered under union rules, Beyonce's camp is not violating regulations, but they are not in sync with Dancers' Alliance, an organization created by dancers to standardize non-union work.

Calls to Beyonce's reps were not returned. Frank Gatson's rep had no comment.
I can't be mad if she's financing it herself but I feel for the dancers too.

Reports have surfaced that the British bank that is paying $400 million to build a new arena for Jay-Z's New Jersey Nets was built on profits from the slave trade.

According to reports, Barclays Bank, which is shelling out $400 million over 20 years for naming rights for the Brooklyn arena, was founded by a family that profited from its ownership of slaves in the 18th century as well as being involved in controversial dealings with the South African government in the 1980s.

Hov, who made headlines last year by boycotting Cristal because of comments made by its managing director, has not responded to the controversial reports.
Okay but we live in a country BUILT on slave labor.

Tyrese has issued a statement about the alleged violent incident that took place between him and his live-in girlfriend at his Los Angeles home in earlier this month.

"I am a very private person but as untrue information is still circulating, I feel I owe it to my fans and supporters to finally address the rumors and put them to rest once and for all. Please be assured that accusations of an alleged physical altercation between my girlfriend and me are absolutely false. No charges were filed. I am grateful for the prayers and support I have received over the last several weeks from my fans and supporters and I want to thank them. God Bless."

Earlier this month, paramedics responded to Tyrese's home in response to an alleged altercation. No charges were filed.
He probably did do it as an outlet for his anger over poor album sales (on a side note, Tyrese: a leopard doesn't change it's spots--why are you rapping???)

^^ Go Tyra!!! I just can't get over the ignorance of some people. I personally think she is still pretty( besides that blonde lacefront). I had this man yesterday, tell me that I was pretty to be thick. I was like WTF, is that supposed to be a compliment? He was like yeah, this fool had the nerve to say that usually skinny girls are the pretty ones! I was to through!

Munchkin03 02-01-2007 08:13 PM

Oh man I love that woman.

The thing is, she's probably still much smaller than the average American! Why do people want to hate on Lightbulb?
