Ok...first thing I noticed was that they are trying to "dispel stereotypes", yet they interviewed 2 interior design majors, and a fashion major...hmmm....

Well and the girl at the end says a comment about racism/homophobia that's naive and unclear, but I get what she's trying to say.

"That's all over with" or something like that.

Do you know what is all involved with an interior design major? It's not easy. There's a lot of math, art and architecture involved. It's not the same as interior decorating.

I realize that, but it's still a stereotype sorority major.

Remember though, many non-greeks will have the same reaction because they won't know the difference between design and decorating.

I don't consider it a stereotypical sorority major, there was only one interior design major in my chapter. We had far more elementary, early education and marketing majors.

But that's just me...

Penguin - Maybe I missed it in the article, but how many of the chapters at FSU are participating in spring recruitment? Is TriDelt actually participating in spring rush?

PenguinTrax 01-23-2007 03:28 PM

I actually don't know how many chapters are participating or if TriDelt is one of them. I'm going to guess that they are, since they were interviewed. They must have had a large Winter graduating class...they are one of the bigger chapters on campus. If I can find out anything, I'll be sure to post.
