This pisses me off! More OSU bad news...
 

Today Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. was suspended from Ohio State for hazing. DAMMNIT!! I swear the state of the greek system here is very upsetting! It's enough to turn someone away from fraternities all together!

I'm sure y'all heard about the Rollling Stone "OSU sorority girls are drunken sluts" article from hell. The journalistic integrity was highly questionable and I wouldn't doubt if most of the article was manufactured. However, it mentioned Kappa Sig, and wham bam, 4 months later Kappa Sig is closed.

It sounds like whoever in is charge there thinks closing down fraternities (or busting them to their nationals) will counteract the bad press they received. @#$%ing lame.

I'm not saying that any/all of the fraternities that have been disciplined are blameless, but as an outsider, it looks to me like the administration has gone 180 degrees from turning a blind eye to everything to a zero tolerance policy. That never works.

Jae, I totally agree that all these closures and lack of support is enough to turn people away from the greek system. And of course, they are doing all this the week before women's recruitment. All this negative publicity is going to make girls think twice about rushing, which is too bad.

I have to comment on the whole Rolling Stone thing, since it was brought up. My chapter was mentioned in that article, and everything in the article was false. The girl he quoted wasnt even a girl from our chapter. I hope no one took that article as a true reflection of the greek system here at OSU.
