Can you give us some clues?

Can you give us some clue on what's on the page? I'm not on Facebook.

Also, it really depends on the decision inside Region IV. These days (last 10+ years), it seems that all of the bids are really by regions. I can't think of the last time that two cities presented bids from inside the same Region. Since Denver is the only convention level city (or least I thought so prior to Louisville) in the Western Convention Region outside of Region X/XI, there hasn't been much competition in the bids for the west for the convention 8 years after a Denver Convention.

The last three Conventions in the Southern Convention Region have been in Region VII, while I think Arkansas from Region VIII, most of the non-VII region is in Region IV. Region IV has a number of convention level cities. Unfortunately, I think that for Florida south of Ocala and Puerto Rico the "high" season is around Christmas.

Georgia is doing really well in terms of expansion, so my long term guess is 2010 in Atlanta. OTOH, at this point in January 2003, I would certainly not have guessed Louisville.

As noted, it will depend what comes out of the Region IV Conference next December. Surprisingly, amoung the RIV VD at Nationals, Atlanta wasn't put forth as a possible candidate for 2010. I was hearing of certain cities in Florida, and maybe Tennessee.

The problem I see with PR, is that EVERYONE (except those in PR) will have to fly. This will make it hard for many people to attend who can't afford to fly and would probably drive/carpool/etc to get to Nationals.

TN would be OK, 4 cities are about Louisville size or larger. Jacksonville is probably the only one w/o insane Dec prices and I'm not sure that would work...

Agreed on PR.

The city in Tn. is Nashville.

In Florida there were 3 cities that were thinking about hosting it jointly. I cant remember for sure the 3 cities, but they seemed pretty excited. Regionals will be in Fl. in 07 so I would push to have Nationals somewhere else. Nashville is cool, but I'd rather have in P.R., but if we win the bid (Nashville), then I'm sure I'll be on the committee.

I wonder if they could work out a deal with an airline or with certain airlines to offer some type of reduced flights since we will have so many people traveling.
