Food Ideas
 

I was just wondering if anyone could suggest any cute food ideas for recruitment parties! I want something that people will love but i'm stuck in a rut.

Fresh fruit and water go over big-- I think soda and sweets give you stinky breath, so if you are going to offer them, also offer a fresher food alternative. Always have water, too. I hated how at my school the chapters offer ice water the first day and for the rest of the week you had only punch or soda. You can't go wrong with fresh foods like veggie trays (you can have pretty scalloped tomatoes and radishes as a garnish and serve any dip in a hollowed out bell pepper.). Finger sandwiches are dainty and bite-sized. Iced tea is almost always well-received. Chocolate-covered strawberries are very easy to make and give you a taste of chocolate and a refreshing finish of something berry. Avoid anything that gets stuck in the teeth or prone to staining.

I've noticed a lot of chapters doing Asian themes and serving fortune cookies. Cute idea, but not everyone likes these cookies or they may walk out with their fortune and bam-- you get an infraction!
