New Member Program
 

Hi, this is my first time here but I do need some help from all the Gamma Phis that can help me!
I am the Assistant New Member Educator this year for the Zeta Rho chapter at Texas A&M. We are a new chapter and so we don't have a ton of traditons in our chapter yet. We are having a special, intense spring rush this year to help get our numbers up. Recently I've started brain storming ideas of the new member program to make it amazing and the best yet. I have a lot of ideas but I would LOVE to have even more ideas.

So i was wondering if everyone could give me some ideas from your own chapters and their new member program. Anything at all- what made it fun and memorable, what didn't work as well, how your big/little program worked and what you liked about it, really any ideas. I would love some great ideas for I-Week, ideas for a new member retreat, and Bid Day themes and things to do on Bid Day (games, food, whatevever...).

Hi Abby,

I am the EVP (formerly MEVP; IH is changing the name) and New Member Educator advisor at Epsilon Lambda, University of Alabama.

My new officers are just now transitioning in, so I don't have a whole lot for you right now, but we'll be doing some brainstorming soon. I always stress that Bid Day is when your department takes over the reins from the MVP department, and it's your responsibility to keep the new members active and having fun.

Alabama does have some traditions as far as I-Week and Big/Lil Sis, so PM me for more info on that.
