Vaccines from aborted babies
I had never heard this before and figured this may spark a discussion among you wonderfully intelligent and resourceful greeks!
The CDC is aware that some, but not all, vaccines are made from human cell-line cultures, and some of these cell lines originated from aborted fetal tissue, obtained from legal abortions. Cell lines generated from a single fetal tissue source are used--vaccine manufacturers obtain human cell lines from FDA-certified cell banks that use aborted babies. See the CDC's own website: http://www.cdc.gov/nip/vacsafe/conce.../humancell.htm |
Is there a question somewhere in your post, or were you just passing along information?

I think this is supposed to be an OH NOES TEH HORROR debate about the ethics and morality of using aborted babies for vaccines.
I guess I'll throw in my $.02 and say that I don't agree with abortion, except in extreme cases (that's another thread, though) - but if the baby has already been aborted, it might as well not be completely in vain. |
How convenient...you forgot to mention this part:

There's no such thing as an aborted baby. If it was aborted, it's not a baby.

The original poster used inflammatory language in the thread title. It's worth pointing that out somewhere in whatever discussion goes on here. |

Not enough people are following this thread for it to be a good flame war anyway. |

Knowing kappa2 and some of her health history, I highly doubt she meant this to be an inflammatory thread.
However, there is already a discussion on Stem Cell research from aborted fetuses so this thread is really unnecessary. |
