Not gonna lie. I just laughed out loud.

Do I get kicked out of the 'I'm a good sorority like girl type?' club?

I knew it was only a matter of time. I mean, I still watch it, but it has certainly gotten boring.

GeekyPenguin 01-04-2007 04:59 PM

Hooray!

"Welcome to cancellation, bitch."

(Sorry, but it's the first thing I thought of when I heard about the cancellation.)

Thank God. I watched it the first season, but it's been all downhill since then. I stopped watching halfway through season 2.

I have been fiercely loyal to The O.C. since its premiere, but I realize it's sort of like a sick pet I can't bear to put to sleep. It definitely jumped the shark last season and I really can't see any more interesting directions the show can take.

I'm still a little sad though ;(

Well, I think that pretty much sums up my thoughts in a most accurate way, too. Although I admit I do like it more since Marissa bit the dust--her character was way too whiny and boring. But I think the show just lost a lot of viewers when it hit that slump, and now nobody bothers with it. I read about rumors of it being cancelled weeks and weeks ago and wondered if it was true. Still, I'm sad, too.

Consolation: I just got another season's worth of "The O.C." DVDs for Christmas, so at least there's that. Now, when they cancel "Scrubs" is when I'm really going to go nuts.

Agreed.

(Though I am kinda biased because I never really got into it and sucked in to the hype)

Though this season was not at all like the past ones, I was kind of getting into it. I mean, it still had that "OC feel" to it. But yeah, I guess it was inevitable. I'm just sad it's not even running through May. :(

Well, I am happy that they will at least give this one some closure. I hate when series are cancelled and taken off the air abruptly without offering any conclusion. Kind of like that other Fox show 'Reunion' which got cancelled about halfway into it... I was actually interested in knowing who the killer was and what the motive was, but I'll never know because they just yanked it.
