On-line Job
 

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone does any online work. I've heard of online job, but I'm at a lost of where to find them. Everything seems like a scam. Does anyone work from home?

Unfortunately, on-line job scams are the new "work at home stuffing envelope" scams. The way they do it is by getting the victim to give out his/her bank account number under the premise that the employer will direct deposit the paycheck. Legitimate employers will never insist on direct deposit as the only option.. but may offer it as a convenience.

Another scam involves wiring money from a personal bank account, PayPal or Western Union. In return, you're allowed to keep a small percentage. Usually, this money is stolen money.

But there ARE legitimate on-line jobs-- which are known simply as "telecommuting." Be sure to check out the company thoroughly. (You can find some job listings at Fortune 500 companies. At least you know THOSE are legit!)

Telecommuting jobs are more difficult to find than office jobs because there is a very high demand for at home work. Here are some sites to check out with contain job listings.

Thanks for the information. I'm just curious if you know of anyone that does this type of work or have gotten jobs from any of these sights?

the only online job type people i know are folks who build websites and place ads on them to earn revenue. Or folks that create ecommerce sites and sell stuff.
