Ready to Rush!
Hi everyone!!!! Just wanted to let you guys know that starting in the second week of January I will be participating in informal recruitment. Right now I'm thinking about doing informal from two sororities, so I'll let you know how everything works as I get more info! I'm not going to reveal where I live or how many sororities are on campus. I did rush in the fall but dropped out because my grades from High School really effected where I got cut (I know this because I did not even meet the minimum) and so I worked extra hard this past semester. :) Anyway, I'll keep you guys updated!! I've read so many of these threads that I'm excited to finally start my own! Any advice would be greatly appreciated... for example, conversation topics or good questions to ask because I was left in a stuppor so many times in the fall, not knowing what to say or ask!

Lots of luck for recruitment!

First you should make up a list of questions that YOU have for the groups. Decide what is moat important for you to know about them in order for you to decide if they are right for you.
Philathropy Projects (national and local projects) Programs and activities Requirements of new members and actives Dues and fees You can always ask a sister "Why did you join" or "what is your favorite part about being a XYZ?". This gives you a chance to deflect the conversation, get your bearings and maybe some extra info about what being a sister is all about. Good luck. I would also suggest attending parties for all groups who are doing informal - it sounds like you have already made your mind up for 2 - give everyone a shot - the worst thing that can happen is you get cut but you might make some new friends in the process. |

Good luck! 'Tis the week for informal--that's when Baylor's doing most of theirs, too.
