2007 Midwest High Phi Conference

Brothers,
I have some exciting news for you, especially those located in the Midwest.

Lambda Epsilon Zeta and Sigma Zeta (Kettering and UofMich, respectively) are hosting a High Phi Conference this winter. It will be held at our (Kettering) chapter house the weekend of January 26th. Andy Hoffman, the ELC will be there, no doubt with words of wisdom.

You can register here and you'll recieve an email soon with details and a schedule of events.

In the meantime, I'll try to fill in all the details I know. Brothers Tim Downs (LE's Phi) and Brother Ethan Rein (Sigma's Phi), both of whom have a great deal of knowledge of the brotherhood have been planning this for some time and have been in contact with Mr. Ed Leonard, Grand High Alpha, in the planning of this event. As I said earlier, it will be held at our house and we will have plenty of space on couches and even a few extra bunks for our visitors.

This is open to all initiated brothers-- not just Phis, and we would love to see you there.

Very Excited in ZAX,
Elijah Auger

This is really cool. What exactly will be the purpose of this "conference"? A sharing of associate member program ideas? Pre-I events? Etc. etc.? Ritual history and notes? New activities being pushed by nationals?

As our chapter's Phi, I wish I wasn't 15 hours away. I would love to attend something like this.

Hello everyone,

I'm the Phi at Kettering, Tim Downs, and I'm really pumped for this weekend. The idea came about after Sigma's Phi (Ethan Rein) and I's many conversations about the way each chapter does ritual. We've learned so miuch from each other about all aspects of conducting a ritual (from the spritual to the mechanical) that we'd love to share what we've found works and doesn't work and hear what everyone else's ideas, thoughts and processes are.

If you know any brothers within driving range I'd really like to see them show up, it should be a rad time for all involved.

Z.A.X. out with your cax out,
Tim

With a large turn-out this could really be a lot of fun. I wish I could go, but then again, as an old fart, I might well put a damper on the exchange of ideas. I always regret never having been a Phi, but we had some funky rules back in the dark ages that ensured that it would never come to pass.
