Off the Road

Hi everyone!

Well my semester as a Field Consultant is over. :( I'm kind of sad, but really happy to be home! I have learned so much about our organization and I have met so many incredible Phi Sigma Sigma sisters that I am so proud!!

I loved being part of the colonization team! I mostly worked with our GVSU colony. Those women are amazing! I am so impressed with them. Michigan weather however did not impress me, I mean, it snowed on Oct 14th or something like that!!! I'm so glad to be back enjoying the 80 degree weather of savannah! lol.

I loved the traveling! I fell in love with Colorado during my stay in Denver and Colorado Springs. That state is absolutely amazing! I really hope to one day return to Colorado, even if its just to ski!

I also enjoyed visiting different chapters and working with them on recruitment. I love love love recruitment! I'm still working with some of the MRC's I met during my time on the road and will return to work with one of them and of course go back and volunteer with Pi during their recruitment.

I also learned alot from Feli, the other field consultant I worked with. Her spirit and dedication kept me sane while trying to deal with issues that I often became frustrated with. I miss her!! We do keep in touch. :)

I' m now a part of the extension committee and I'm looking to continue to volunteer with Phi Sig, maybe start an alumnae Chapter here in Savannah. I am also looking for a job! lol. I'll let you all know how that goes. :)

I definitely recommend taking the semester or year off to travel with Phi Sig! It was definitely a rewarding experience. If you have any questions feel free to ask. :)

I wanted to do it, they didn't choose me.... oh well... I guess I can help the sorority in other ways. Glad to hear you had such a great time ! Did you ever make it to California at all ?

I never made it out to California :(. The farthest out west I got was Colorado.

We definately need volunteers at the local level, I do believe that's where we can make the most impact. I'm hoping to find a chapter I can help out with...however, I'm all the way down here in Savannah GA. :(
