FIJI Sweetheart
 

My chapter hasn't had a sweetheart in a long time, so I wanted to ask the other FIJIs or FIJI sweethearts out there about what other chapters do. We aren't even sure how to go about it.
The future sweetheart is a sorority girl. Do we serenade her house? She's done so much for us that we'd love to make this special for her and our chapter.

At my school, FIJI announces their Purple Princess (what they call their Sweetheart). They do not do serenading just give flowers and a tiara.

Here at FSU we let the prospective girls that want to be sweetheart earn their lavaliere by showing how dedicated they are to the chapter and how much they want to be our sweetheart by doing all sorts of things (attending intramural games, setting brothers up w/ her sisters for date functions, baking stuff, and other supportive/creative things). Then we let them know a day where we'll vote on it and they come (usually baring edible gifts) and with a speech of some sort in hand and speak to the chapter. After than we get to have some fun by making a list of funny random questions that we ask them like "who's the smelliest brother?" or "Polos or V-necks?". Just funny questions to lighten the mood.

Usually at our christmas party we invite all the girls that ran for sweetheart and announce the winner and the whole chapter gets on a knee and sings "two Silhouettes" to her while she gets her lavaliere.
