PRAYERS for my Kitty PLEASE
 

hi sisters

tonight my kitty Kali got into my basement. there is a chance that she may have eaten some rat poison. I am not sure, and it doesn't look like she did but I rushed her to the vet and she received a vitamin K shot and will be on Vit. K pills for the next 5 days.

The vet thinks Kali will be fine. She doesn't seem to be exhibiting symptoms of rat poisoning and is being her totally adorable, loveable self. Yet, we won't know for sure until the next 3-5 days. I have to watch out for signs of bloody nose, bloody urine etc.

My family and friends all think she is doing well. But as her mom I'm soooooo worried. So if you could remember to keep us in your prayers the next few days that would be great.

KALI UPDATE

she seems to be doing well. I know I have a few more days before she is "ok" but I'm very hopeful. She got her 1st dose of pills today and is eating and drinking normally. So I'm grateful for that. She is curled up on the arm of the sofa while i type this. Purring up a storm.

her gums and ears are pink so I'm hopeful.

From one cat lover to another..I will pray for your kitty!!! I can't imagine the hysterics I would be in if one of my 3 babies were in your situation!

thank you for your kind words and thoughts. i was a big mess last night. coming from a girl who didn't shed a tear after a 6 yr relationship ended, I was bawling my eyes out last night. Luckily she seems ok. hopefully tomorrow will be another good day.

and please, you are not crashing at all. cat lovers are always welcome in my book

Even though Brando doesn't like other kitties much, he sends Kali a big meow and hug, and so do I. Hope she's OK!!

Hi everyone,

1st I wanted to say thanks for all the positive vibes. Kali seems to be doing really well. She has one more day of Vitamin K pills left. And she has not had any of the symptoms of ingesting rat poison. (I am so incredibly grateful for that).

There is a test I can get down after tomorrow that will show for sure if she ingested any of the poison or not. Its a bit expensive about 200. My mom thinks that since she seems totally fine and has not exhibited any of the symptoms that, there really is no reason to spend the money. I'm not sure what I'll be doing yet.

But luckily she seems fine, her gums and ears have stayed pink, she is still eating and drinking with no problems and her behavior is not abnormal.
