Quote:

A 20-year-old OSU freshman was found dead Tuesday and another student is missing after their car crashed into the North Umpqua River off Highway 138 East on Sunday.

Police identified the 20-year-old as Quinn Do Truong, listed in the OSU directory as a merchandising management major who lives at the Delta Gamma sorority house.

The (Roseburg) News-Review said her body was pulled from a Jeep Wrangler which was submerged in the river.

Police identified the second student as 22-year-old junior Jeffrey Bernard Schmidt, a geography major from Medford. The News-Review said police believe he was washed down the fast-moving river. Schmidt is a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.
