Stumbled accross this online quiz recently:
http://www.gotoquiz.com/what_america...nt_do_you_have Your Result: Philadelphia:D "Your accent is as Philadelphian as a cheesesteak! If you're not from Philadelphia, then you're from someplace near there like south Jersey, Baltimore, or Wilmington. if you've ever journeyed to some far off place where people don't know that Philly has an accent, someone may have thought you talked a little weird even though they didn't have a clue what accent it was they heard." http://www.siyclone.com/forum//style...efault/YES.gif Wooder Ice for all my friends! and I attract Geeks...fine with me Now I have someone to watch Matrix, Star Wars 1-6 and play Gauntlet with..wait that's Mr. Starfish http://creditboards.com/forums/style...fault/yes2.gif yes! |

http://www.gotoquiz.com/what_america...nt_do_you_have I supposedly have a southern accent. I know people that would agree and disagree, so who knows? lol |
"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.
funny...I am from Dallas |
My results: You have a Southern accent. Right on the money, baby! :D

Midlander, although I object to anything south of Kankakee being called Southern Illinois. Just on principle.

Your Result: The Insland North
You may think you speak "Standard English straight from the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop." I'm from Denver - but I do call carbonated drinks pop ;) |
