Sorry to crash....

I know our nationals provides guidelines and resource links for chapter page development.

Ask nationals first. They might have the bandwidth to support a few of your pages. If not, there are lots of sites out there where a domain name is 9 bucks a year. Just make sure whatever you do, you get approval from Nationals in terms of content, graphics, etc. They can also provide them to you. There should be some uniformity among chapter pages within your Fraternity.

Lastly, if you are looking for free webhosting, aside from if your school's activities deparment or nationals providing it, I would advise AGAINST using a yahoo/facebook/aol whatever "free" pages they offer, bc they will contain advertisements. And those advertisements are random, not necessarily screened in terms of appropriateness to your content, etc.

Lastly, if you want a for-brothers-only area, there are freeware programs out there so you can pass-word protect it.

PM me if you want to know more about that free stuff... my husband is a software developer and can point you in the direction of how to get free templates for do-it-yourselfers.

I would recommend buying a website program. This is what I used when I started my own website in 1999. The program I purchased was called Swiftsite.

It requires NO programing experience. You just follow the simple instructiuons and you can have your own website in about 1 week. It costs about $19.99 per month.
