anyone standing in line to buy this? i dont think i will, but i would like to buy one and turn around and sell it for double or triple the price.

Nah, I'm going to get a Wii. Never been a PS person, though if the price ever drops I might pick one up.

I saw some of those overeager nutcases lined up outside Best Buy today, equipped with tents and sleeping bags. The thing doesn't even come out for another couple of days! Don't those people have jobs? Families? Something else they should be doing?

As much as I love PlayStation I will wait. My PS2 is still working just fine.

I want one but not that bad. It can wait. If nothing else the new Metal Gear and Def Jam fighting games are reason enough to get it.

After Sony just screwed over thousands of fans with their Lik Sang lawsuit I believe they're going to have a hard time with sales on this one. All I've heard about are Wiis.
Does this mean PS2 prices will drop? I keep getting asked what I want for my birthday and christmas and I really want a new game console. Or a PC powerful enough to run WoW. Shut up.

I'm thinking very seriously of doing this. There were some guys at school who bought like seven X-box 360s, sold them on ebay, and made a shit load of money.

Did you see the numbers for the PS3 in Japan. Less than 1 game sold per console....

How does that work? Do people buy it for other things than games? Did they think it came with a game?

I assume most of them were bought to resell. (Assuming that some people bought multiple games)

I just bought a PS2 for $140 (brand new) so that I could get guitar hero and GH2, I got pulled in during a convention for a game that I play.

And yes, most of these people play WoW as well....I am not a geek for nothing...don't feel bad, you are not alone.

Nah, school is taking up too much of my time to spend that much on a system. I wouldn't turn one away as a gift, but I'm not going to drop the cash on it at this point.
