Poor baby. No one answered his question. GC can be so cruel sometimes. Not all groups have legacy/legend meaning you can get in on relatives being members of the organization. From what I know, Kappas do not do legend. You have to pledge and pray, and have that GPA. For the organizations that do it, most of them are not too fond of the people that use the legacy/legend card to get in and not go through what all other members went through via pledging. It's just like opting out to be paper. You lose respect that way. Also, by joining via legacy/legend, you may miss out on a lot of need to know information about the organization that is beyond the basic information. Depending on who you run into later in the organization, they may be willing to teach you things you missed out on. It just depends on the person. I hope that answered your question. Now, let's sit back and watch the responses roll in. ;)

Nonchalent,

I believe that the question was for Greeks. I didn't catch what organization you were a member of. Anyway, as with any question pertaining to membership you need to as the members of the chapter that you are wanting to become a member of.
