How many chapters can ever say they had this happen? Small chapter or not, THIS is hard to accomplish...

We had a UNANIMOUSLY approved slate passed tonight for next years officers. Not one single person voted it down.

Granted, 2 sisters, 2 of my little sisters at that, were heart broken. I've spent the better part of the evening picking up the pieces - and I've been having sympathy pains for them as well, remembering my experience from last year. But I think they are okay now....and my graduation anxiety seems to have been calmed down a bit. I'm excited about the future of my chapter, and the new leadership, and new positions that were picked. I think things are gonna be okay...

My chapter accomplished this a few times.

Lol we had a perfect slate two years in a row :D It's sweet. (Ok the second year when I was a "slater" we had two girls voluntarily switch their positions from the slate but it still counts! ;)

Well, my advisor said she's never heard of a slate passing unanimously - that ultimately there is someone who's upset, hurt, resentful, whatever, and votes it down for whatever reason. Of course, we got an awesome new member class this year and things just sort of fell into place pretty easily. 3 hour process....I've heard horrors of it taking upwards of 8 hours before. Eeesh.

Yeah elections can be horrendous or awesome :)
