Formal help..
 

Hey Ladies!!

I need some help with ideas for a spring formal...as far as I know we've never had one and i would love to bring this to my chapter! but we have to work with a budget. does anyone have any ideas for a fun night???

Budget is very important. I would suggest first finding out if your sorority wants dinner served at the formal or not. And if the location you choose lets you decorate the walls. We had that problem for our spring formal. It was a Cinderella Fairytale.
But our fall semi-formal is a night in Vegas.
You can save a lot of money by making your own decorations too instead of buying them. Thats what we are doing for the semi-formal.

Amanda brought up our Vegas Semi-Formal...so I figured I would share my wisdom on the subject...lol.

The great thing about a Vegas theme for your first one ever is you can play Blackjack (21), Texas Hold-Em, ect and it goes great with the theme of Vegas. This way even the people who don't want to dance or get tired of dancing have a great time and don't get bored standing around.

Its probably a little late to respond to this, but just as an idea, last year we did a pot luck dinner at our formal to save money. Every girl brought a dish. A sign up list was made and girls brought things acording to what they signed up for.
