Delta Sigma Phi death at UTSA

Early Tuesday morning (3:30am or so, just as halloween started), a member of Delta Sigma Phi at UT-San Antonio was murdered at his own home during his birthday party. This was NOT a fraternity party - many of the attendees were not brothers. The men are very upset about this death, yet seem to be handling it well.

A little info:

Note: they didn't really get into much of a fight. Jeremy asked Ian (suspect) to leave the party and he refused. Jeremy grabbed a bat in an attempt to persuade the guy to leave. That's when he took out the gun and shot the poor guy.

Thoughts and prayers to those that are greiving

Sad, but he may be remembered:

The websites of more than 1,000 deceased young people have been archived at MyDeathSpace.com. For each death MDS features, it posts an obituary, a photograph, and visitor comments about the death, along with a link to the dead person's MySpace profile. "I wanted kids to read about people their age dying in drunk driving accidents and then not have that fourth or fifth drink that weekend when they're attending a party," says the site's founder. "Teens think they're invincible. Looking through the hundreds of deaths on MDS shows you they are not."
