New Initiate seeks info
I have just recently been initiated into Pi Kappa Phi (Largest pledge class initiated in chapter history) at Georgia Southern U. (National Football Champs...Schweeet!). Anyway, the last few weeks have been a blur of drunken frenzies and wild late-nights. Now all that is dying down and I am ready to move on into being a good brother. Granted, I'm still infected with the infamous New Brother Syndrome, but I'm think I'm ready to take on responsibilities.
ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW I SHOULD APPROACH THIS? |
Be willing to speak your mind in meetings. Volunteer for everything you can or feel is important. Volunteer info and add ideas to discussions. Help other brothers with projects or fundraisers. Tell your president that you are more than willing to take on any responsibilities that he can dish out and to always think of you when trying to find someone to head up a new committee. It's important to be flexible. Don't take on too much because your grades could suffer. That is always something to watch out for. Have fun and good luck!

First off, congrats bro!
Now here comes the hard part. Try to find a project that has been neglected and make it your own personall project. When others see how much you have done with that and see that you care, more responsibilities will follow. Make sure that the project you took on has someone else to look after it when you have a new position. |
Just curious
In an earlier post:
http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...0860#post20860 you mentioned you were initated in Jan 2000  |
Speak to your chapter officers and tell them just what you told us in that first message. They're answer will serve you better than anything we can guess at.
