NBA 2006-07

...begins tonight.

Who will wear the title of champion in June? What new superstars will emerge? Which teams will join the hunt and take it to the next level?

Look out for Orlando - Howard is sick (he would be even better if he could shoot just a little), and Jameer Nelson is ready to break out. He's a legit point guard and played really well as a starter last year.

I'll add more later when I have more time.

Hot

Can you feel the Heat down in your soul? I feel the Heat down in my soul. Can you feel the Heat down in your soul? I feel the Heat down in my soul. It's Miami Heat we can't be beat. It's Miami Heat.

I think the Jazz are going to be really good this year.

I'm excited about the Bulls, especially now that they've added Ben Wallace.

KSUViolet06 10-31-2006 04:23 PM

I love my Lakers.

I will go with the Bulls. I like Nelson/Howard in Orlando but the franchise doesn't have deep pockets and I think you need more to win. The Sixers will suck.

The Wallace signing was a nice gesture, but he has zero skill offensively, and even his defensive and rebounding numbers have started to sag. I think they overpaid, and it will come back to bite them when their young guys come up for free agency (although they extended Hinrich's contract today).

Well, whether the signing of Wallace was good or not the Bulls just whooped the defending champions 108-66. I say that is a pretty good start to their season!! GO BULLS!!

Oh they played a great game last night and killed the Heat. No doubt they're going to be good. The best analogy I can think of is the Johnny Damon signing in NY for the Yankees: probably really good for one season, but by the final season it will be an overpayment.

Regardless, Chicago should have a very good season this year. It should be a good winter sports season for Chicago fans, with the Bulls and the Bears.

I don't care about Basketball until playoff time. Its not exciting to me. I'll watch a game if i am drinking a beer with friends at a sports bar but i won't go out of my way to watch until the playoffs.

Go Kings! :D

TonyB06 11-01-2006 11:57 PM

Cavaliers,

When you stand at that line, 15 feet from the basket, when the ref gives you the ball and no one can bother you? That's called a free throw. You fellas might want to get acquainted with that shot in practice between now and Friday.

Thanks.

I hope my Nuggets have grown immune to the super-secret ugly powers of the Clippers and put the smackdown on them tonight.
