Isn't this always the case?

3 years later and they want to sue!

Hail all Lawyers!

This as I and others have been saying happens to ALL GLOs and no one wants to admit it!

Stupid is as Stupid does, but one member does not make it for the whole chapters~!

Edit: I'm illiterate.

Guess you didn't follow the link.

There is no allegation of hazing, and the deceased is a member, not a pledge.

He fell out of the back of a pick-up truck. It wasn't the chapter's truck. It was a group of LXA members and non-members.

BUT, the parents have lost a son, and they (and some lawyer) see an LXA house on the main drag worth $1 or $2 million. Their lawyer, on contingency, will drag it on until LXA goes broke or settles.

Well, considering that he wasn't a pledge, wasn't getting hazed, and wasn't doing anything at a LXA event or function...I'd say its pretty shitty of the family as well. He fell out of the back of a truck that he was riding in with some friends.

It helps to read.

My bad.

From the standpoint of our Nationals however, something that involves one or more member of our sorority is considered a chapter event. I'm assuming that this is the reason why the family will be able to sue the chapter.

macallan25 10-31-2006 12:32 AM

I don't think it will hold up at all.

Sailboat Sis 10-31-2006 12:35 AM

Unfortunately, it probably will.
