Thinking about "rushing"
Hi all. I'm from Missouri and wanted to learn a little more before trying to pledge. Is any one here in a Beta Sigma Phi group in Missouri? I called and am getting an info packet in the mail and I also seen the website. But nothings better than talking to a real life person about there views and experiences.
Thanks:o |
whats the b&b?
What does the bed and breakfast have to do with Beta Sigma Phi?
|
Is 23 to young to be in Beta Sigma Phi?
|
When I called the 1-888 #, she asked if I would like to start my own chapter...is that normal? For non members wanting to be members to just start there own groups?
|
Sorry, I keep thinking of new things to ask!

Beta Sigma Phi has a bed and breakfast program for traveling sisters who are looking for a place to stay during their travels. It's a great way to meet other sisters.
Friendly venturing (starting a new chapter) is quite common for new people wanting to join Beta. It's a lot of work, but it can be quite rewarding. May I ask, where in Missouri are you? 23 is not too young to join; we have quite a few young members in our City Council here in NOLA. |
1/2 hour from downtown St. Louis.

Hi! Twenty-three isn't too young. I was 23 when I joined, and I'm 27 now. I started a chapter as a non-member. You have to really be sure to educate yourself about the sorority's history and methods of operation if your Friendly Venture is going to be a success. But before you explore that possibility, I strongly encourage you to wait to be contacted by an existing chapter.
Have fun getting to know Beta Sigma Phi. I've enjoyed my membership quite a bit! Erica |
update
I just got contacted today. A sweet woman named Susan called and we are meeting at a area near her home and car pooling with another gal to the Dec. meeting. There's going to be a purse party and secret sister reveal. Sounds fun. Hope I don't act weird or only talk about my critters. (my two dogs). Sorry, but I don't have kids yet!
Hope to give you guys an update after the meeting, which is on Dec. 13th 2006. Dana |
