Congratulations to the brand new Alpha Zeta chapter of Omega Phi Alpha at Kennesaw State University! They initiated 22 lovely ladies on October 15! :)

That's so awesome! I'm still trying to get things rolling here at NCSU, my work schedule is fighting me though on that one! But congrats to Alpha Zeta!

These girls were so thrilled! I got to go visit them before and after their activation, and I have never seen a group of girls more on fire. Congrats girls!

Congrats to them! I'm so sad I wasn't able to go. :(

Many thanks to everyone who made the Alpha Zeta induction so special. These new sisters are a WONDERFUL addition to our family!

By the way, it was a special treat to meet you in person, MTSUGurl. As you can imagine, I was a little preoccupied with making sure the event ran smoothly and I regret not being able to spend more time with you. Even so, it's cool to form a friendship online and finally meet in person!

YIKES! I wasn't even thinking about that, Heather! How funny! :p

Actually, Crystal (aka MTSUGurl) and I 'met' a while back on Greekchat and got to know each other before she pledged Mu Chapter this fall. (Long story there, but I'll let Crystal share it at a later time.) Her big sister at Mu is Janice's big sister, so Crystal came along and we got to meet in person at the AZ induction weekend.

Although, I've got to agree.... I don't know of another chapter who can trace their foundation back to a couple of pre-teens in an online boy band fan club! I hope that gets documented somewhere in the Alpha Zeta Chapter history!

So wait - you ARE all coming for my activation... right?:D

Haha, I must protest about Hanson being called a boy band. :) It would be pretty funny though to tell them what an impact they have made on my life and therefore OPA. ;)

We should write them a letter and be like "OPhiA loooooooooves you!" Make them honorary members. heh. :)
