Friday Night Lights

I have a schedule conflict with this show, so I haven't seen it yet. Is it worth the taping? I think Kyle Chandler's a little bit of all right.

I like it a lot -- it's probably my favorite new show this season.

shinerbock 10-12-2006 08:18 PM

Its terrible.

SapphireSphinx9 10-12-2006 08:23 PM

i hate how they tape it... it makes me sea-sick.

BadSquirrelBeta 10-12-2006 08:23 PM

I am held hostage to watching it since I am the only female in the house.

NBC+Texas HS Football+bad acting=horrible.

The movie was good, the tv show is stupid. NBC really shouldnt be allowed to show anything relating to sports...or men, for that matter.

I caught a marathon of this show just before the season premiere and am now hooked. It's kind of cheesy, but I can't help it.

I ws really suprised to find out that the injured QBs family is suing the coach.

I'm interested in finding out what is going to happen once that one kid Smash's mom finds his steroids (and subsequently finds out that he used the money that the church donated to him for "SAT prep" to buy them.)

Anyone else watch this?

I know it's tv and not real life but: in Texas, a teacher (or coach) cannot be sued for liability. It's a state law. They can sue the school district, but not the teacher or coach if a student is injured. This keeps us from being sued if Susie Ann falls off the swing set and breaks her arm. Somebody on the show should have checked their facts.

I hate it. Maybe the most cliche, sterotypical crap-laden representation of small town Texas and Texas High School Football I have ever seen. Absolute garbage.

Surely, you're not expecting a tv show to let accuracy get in the way of drama.

I watched it once, mainly because I liked the book and the movie. Once was enough.

I think the show's really good. Granted I didn't watch it in the beginning, so I have no idea how it's developed, but it has funny moments, dramatic ones and everything in between. Plus it generally has a good message. :)

Best acted, most compelling drama on TV this season. I never miss an episode.

deadbear80 03-06-2007 02:21 AM

I've only caught a few episodes, but it's a pretty good show.

I went to high school with Zach Gilford (he was 2 years behind me) so it's really weird to see him on TV.

KDAngel 03-31-2007 03:07 PM

Which one is Zach Gilford? It's on NBC's green list for who shows they're picking up again next year. :D
