That is seriously overboard...if you get THAT butthurt about what people post about you on a forum, then you have serious self-esteem issues.

The fact that this woman KNEW the other couldn't pay/attend anything, but did it for "the principle of the thing" is just :rolleyes:

AND...the poor other woman didn't even attend the court hearings, so her side wasn't even heard!?! WTF? Seriously, this woman needs a life!

Damn, so now instead of all of us being REPORTED we will be..what? sued? LMFAO..bring it on, is all i can say.

It's not just an internet thing tho. When you go outside of the internet world and ruin someone's reputation badly, that can be cause for defamation... even though it's very hard to prove.

LOL! GC should be completely run over with people suing one another around here since feelings are hurt so easily when you don't agree. ;)

The loudmouths in the alumni initiation argument threads should read this. Lots of those arguments came very close to defaming posters, even some of their own sisters.

Our society has become so pathetic. We should let these type of people simply fight to the death...and then kill the winner.

Seriously. You'd also have to show that it hurt someone's actual reputation. While this woman seemed to be a little crazy herself by suing someone who couldn't afford to pay and was displaced by Katrina (oh no she's going to sue me now) there were grounds that her business had been hurt.

If you don't want to let your online life affect your real life, don't provide enough information for it to do so.
