David Letterman quote controversy
So, at my school (which shall remain to be unknown) several sororities are getting pretty pissed at one another because they are all trying to claim rights to a particular quote from David Letterman. The three sorotities are Alpha Chi Omega, Chi Omega, and Zeta Tau Alpha. And the quote is "Chi-Os were ideal partners for all occasions. They were discrete, desirable, tactful, polite, and fun... Every mom dreamed of her son coming home with a Chi Omega, a woman's woman." Except that each one has it with their name in it. I am hoping that someone can settle this dispute once and for all and maybe send a link with a clip of him saying it or a copy from a trustworthy source.
Thanks! |
The quote is from an autobiography of Letterman, and it's Chi Omega.
The book is: http://www.amazon.com/Sweetheart-Sig.../dp/1578600219 |
Thanks, Jocelyn...mystery solved! Next?

Just adding as an alum of Ball State too, that it's a good book, well worth the read :)
|
It's obviously Chi-O
Letterman went to Ball State University (I am a Phi Mu there) and there is not ZTA and it would not be Alpha Chi Omega because here they're just called Alpha Chis and Letterman is a Sigma Chi, which the men of that chapter definitley favor Chi Omega.

Yea ..... that was revealed in 2006. Thanks, though.

Controversy solved!

And when did he graduate? As if things on that campus couldn't have changed in decades...?
|
