CHES (Certified Health Education Specialist)

Hi GC'ers,

I plan on taking the April 28, 2007 CHES exam. Has anyone taken the test as of yet? Is anyone Certified? I'm just looking for some pointers on how to go about studying for the exam. I already have "A Competency-Based Framework for Professional Development of CHES" book from a previous class taken in my undergraduate studies.

Thanks.

I tht I was the only one... I'm taking the exam in 2 weeks, and I have the same book you have, I'm also reading the notes I have from under grad, I was a Public Health Education/Nutrition major... and they are a big help. Depending on where you are located, the have study groups in certain areas. If you know where you're going tobe taking the exam, you can contact the liaison there and they might be able to help you

CHES

Do you go to a Public Health school? Maybe you could ask your advisor? If you are (particularly in a health ed track), I think the classes are designed to get you ready for the CHES. Does Barnes & Noble or Borders have a study book?
