Chi Omega Chat
 

Okay, so what's the deal with this Chi Omega chat feature used on GreekChat?!?!? I suggest we all plan on meeting in it some night so we can chat up a storm! Seriously! May and I spent almost two hours telling each other stories about our ex's and I got to thinking it'd be so cool to actually "CHAT" with the rest of you too!
So if anyone has ideas...post em! This weekend will be hectic for me but I'm generally on in the late evening!

I know it works for me, it's just that no one on here uses it...I'm the only one in the dang room. Not to mention the other rooms are full of actual GREEKS. LOL!

It might be better to set up a "private" chat on MSN or AOL. You can invite others and its much more functional and fun. I can set it up just give me a time. Whats nice about MSN is that you have hosts who have the power to "kick out" any wanderers who might drift in. I can set the chat up and post a link here. I think its a good idea, Hootie!! I had such a good time talking with you last night!! We should definetly set up a time/date/chatroom so we can all get to know each other better!

I did check out the chat room thats available under greekchat. Its elementary to say the least. Also, I didnt see a provision for setting up a new chat room, only for joining those already set up or for whispering if you are in one already. Also the chat isnt private and you cant kick anybody out, only ignore them.

Actually the easiest thing might be to use AOL AIM (Instant Messenger). You can add diff people to a conversation and most of us probably already have it installed. All we need to do there is just to add each other as buddies on our lists. When we see several of us online we can then add them to the conversation.

Whats nice is that you can show images on your chat screen which might be a nice feature if we want to echange pics or put somebodys ex on display so we can draw squigglies on his face. H'mmm, thats my 2nd negative guy comment today.

A group of sisters and I like to go Cosmic Bowling some (in fact we are going tonight) and when we do they put my name up on the big board as "Bowling Allie." Hehehe! It started when I was taking pictures and Christen said, "Save the pictures for when we're bowling Allie." The funniest part is that I am absolutly terrible at it!

sorry for the unprofessional writing you'll be seeing for awhile...my keyboard won't let me shift so i can't capitalize.
anywho...the greekchat chat room is what i was origionally talking about. it's the first page right before you hit chi omega forum...it says chat. and then if you hit that it takes you to a chat room but it's useless if there isn't anyone in there.
otherwise, yeah, i'm on aol too. i am xoladiebug so you can im me.

I thought the chat with the four of us last night was fun...yipeee. The only prob was that the Greekchat "chat" facility was weak. I think we need to find a chatroom where we can be assured privacy and where we can post smilies, etc.
