UGA Sigma Kappa killed in Iraq
I was reading my local paper and came across this article. A UGA graduate and Sigma Kappa member was killed Tuesday in Iraq. She was a newlywed and planning to leave Iraq in six weeks. Please say a prayer for her family.

The entire Greek community at Southern Poly has been wearing ribbons and such for one of the Pi Kapp brothers who lost their female family member in Iraq last week. I believe it is the same person. So sad.

How sad. She was so young. :( My thoughts are with her family.

Aww, that's awful. As someone who works with both the Greek community and Army ROTC, this story makes me doubly sad. I know I would be devastated if I lost one of my 2LTs, let alone a sister. My thoughts go out to her husband, her family and her friends.

Yes,this is tragic! Two members of my undergrad chapter have been in Iraq. One I prayed for every day until he came back safe to his family, and another, whom I pledged in the early '80s, is there now, training the Iraqi Army. Please pray for everyone involved!

The loss of a soldier is tragic. This young woman reminds me of a friend of mine who was the first female pilot killed in the Iraq war. Their bravery and sacrifice will endure-- my thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family during this painful time.

While some may not beleive it what is happening there, it has been shown that the people there who live and die are trying to do something good for those people.
It is always so sad to hear of losing a Loved one whether a Family Member of a Brother/Sister it is doubly true. My heartfelt care goes out to all of the big Family this Lady had! Rest in Peace. |
How sad. :(

Oh no :( One of my sisters transferred to UGA for a semester before coming back. I'll bet she knew that sister. So sad :(
