Help with an organization
Hey all,
I am doing my senior thesis on the history of Asian American Fraternities & Sororities. I was at the Library of Congress and came across an article about Chinese American women at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor starting a sorority called Sigma Sigma Phi in 1935. Does anyone with a Baird's know if they are in there? I emailed the university, but I am not sure if they'd have records. Any advice? Thanks in advance! Nate |
neat.

I don't think so. One of my good friends is an RA at UMich and has lot of friends in sororities, so I'll ask her just to double check.
|
Thanks KLPDaisy! I know they're not active at UMich anymore (at least I think so)...so its just a matter of finding them in the records. :(
|
Have you checked your school library to see if they have a copy of Bairds?
|
Could you check with the library at Michigan? They might have something in their archives. Also, what about the Greek Life office? They might have some kind of history written that would mention the group.

sigma Sigma Phi was a local: 1945-1957.
|
Hey Tom, do you have more info? B/c I have an article from a paper that says they were founded in 1935 (and the article was written in 1935).
Any clues? |
yea so I asked my friend and she had no clue what you were talking about
