which organizations have you heard of but never met/recently met members of?

for me, i met a few girls of Gamma Phi Beta recently. their recruitment shirts this year were tiffany-bracelet themed. very cute. a member and i were both reaching for the same bottle of soda and just started chatting. she never heard of SGRho, and was amazed that her campus (it wasnt my school) only had one SGRho, but turned out so many programs.

her sisters were cool. learned a little about them, they learned a little about us, and we lived happily ever after.

sure, there are other orgs ive never met (ie. DZ, DDD, PhiMu, TNX...) but ill only share one story.

I never knew any Sigma Delta Taus until I found out one of our Americorps members is a member at GW.

I was at a HBCU football game tonight. I was tailgating when I saw an Iota and his friend walking around. We started talking and he was talking about how he and his brothers were trying to get Iota to grow in our state (there are not many of them in SC, which is why I never met one physically until today). He was very nice to my friend and I and represnts Iota well. :D

I went to a school with a small Greek system, so there are quite a few organizations where I haven't met a member. The list would be too long.
