"The Class" May be Worth Checking Out
There's a show premiering on CBS September 18th called "The Class". When I saw the magazine ads for it, it didin't look very interesting but I heard a radio interview with series star Jason Ritter (son of and an amazing ringer for, the late John Ritter) this morning and the way he described it piqued my interest.
Here's some info from CBS: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/upfront...he_class.shtml I think I'll set my TiVO for this. |

2 thumbs down
We watched the sneak preview tonight.
We both gave it a double thumbs down. :( |
I was going to say, this is either going to be really good, or really suck.
Annie, what didn't you like about it? |
not funny
Well, it was trying REAL HARD to be funny. I don't think we laughed once. We were like, "Oh, I feel sorry for these people!" (both the characters and the actors!)
The premise was silly. It's a reunion (for a reason I won't spoil) of kids from a third grade class. Well, how stupid is that? Didn't these people see each other at their high school's 10 year reunion? |
Yeah, I tried to like it, but it was just a little too predictable - and really not that funny. And a wee bit of over-acting...

I was not even mildly entertained... not funny.

I'll watch pretty much anything that Lizzy Caplan is in. I think it could have promise to it if they worked at it.
|
I didn't like it. Only watched for my Gold Rush clue.
|
Finally watched it on TiVo last night and I *think* I liked it. I'll have to catch the next episode before I know for sure.
I thought the guy who lives at home with his mom was funny, although that could possibly get old after a few episodes. Also, I was trying to figure out why the twin sisters were all decked out in eighties fashions. |
I thought the characters were an assembly of clichés. And not even funny clichés at that.
