the Leadership Fraternity

Howdy,

Ok, so I am the leadership chair in my chapter, I think most chapters dont have that position... anywho. A year ago, I had this idea so that we can really make a mark on campus. My idea was to have an institute on campus for freshman and sophomores to learn about how to make their mark at Denison. I talked with an advisor of ours, and went through the logistics, and we decided to ask Kappa Kappa Gamma to join. So, the first meeting was me, the advisor, our president, a kappa, and the kappa pres, and we went through all the logistic plans to launch this. Well, the school heard about it, and decided to pay for the whole thing, which was our first big victory. Then comming back this fall, we had 4 weeks to plan it, and alot of work. Today was the deadline, we were expecting 30 people, we planned for 50, but we got 75 and still comming. This is huge, and for my campus that is a LARGE amount of people. So, Alpha Eta is in the middle of a little triumph of our own. Its rather exciting.

That's awesome. Congrats.

Sounds like it's really struck a cord. You can really use this to help out with your recruitment issues. Let us know how it goes.

Great idea! After it's all said and done, it will speak highly of your chapter's influence on campus. You call yourself the Leadership Chairman... our chapter has a MoP Chairman, so that's probably about the same thing. He coordinates our kickoff/midyear activities, all the leadership opp's, and any award applications that we can apply for.

We ended at 81, which means we have to cut nine. I am drafting the rejection letter right now, and it is so hard to tell someone they are not good enough (which isnt true, just how it sounds.)
