Twinkle555's BOYFRIEND'S Recruitment LOL!

yea..i guess you can say im obsessed with recruitment stories...

but yea..my once "anti-frat" boyfriend has now seen the real side to greek life thru me and AOPi so he has decided to give rushing a try. he went to info night and talked to all the frats in attendence and was very turned off by most of them..but over the last 2 days he has gone to 3 of the houses/events for the guys and he has one very big favorite. its so funny to see him get excited when the frat guys call him to invite him out!! bid day is friday..ill let ya'll know what happens. wish him lots of luck everyone!

::he chuckles as i write this thread::

"this is alot more fun that doing homework at least!"

OOOO a guy's rush thread :)

Good luck to him!

And anything is better then homework (well almost anything)!

What's the campus again? And what fraternities have chapters there? (You don't have to say which groups he likes or doesn't like.)

Jill1228 09-13-2006 08:37 PM

best of luck to him! i added him to the thread

If I may, I would like to make a friendly suggestion to your boyfriend.

If your boyfriend is rushing an IFC fraternity, he may want to error on the side of caution and not use the term "frat" around IFC fraternity men. Even if some of the members use that term themselves or say it is ok to do so. Frankly, many IFC members do not appreciate the term "frat" applied to their fraternity. It would be unfortunate if your boyfriend was not extended a bid simply due to a possible misuse of "frat".

he is happy so far!

twinkleboyfriend had a good time tonight at the invite only dinner. said he had fun and felt comfortable. tomorrow is bid day..apparently now bids are given out at 2pm..not 5pm (man the boys are quite disorganized! not like us girls..everything planned to the exact second!) so i cant wait to see what happens!!

Good luck to him! I'm glad to hear he is having a good time with it :)

Congrats to twinkleboyfriend and Delta Chi. I'm curious by what you mean "got his number one choice"? Was there some kind of structured rush?

texas*princess 09-15-2006 07:46 PM

maybe she meant that out of the ones that he was looking at, the liked Delta Chi the most and was glad to get a bid from them?

Congrats to your BF & Delta Chi
